The key tenet is that the politicians and the security services of the United Kingdom seem to have forgotten that they work for us, the little people that employ them, not the other way round.

Each of us is becoming more insular, more beholden to the state for handouts, for permission to do anything, and more fearful of doing anything not officially sanctioned. We are craven and fearful, begging the state to look after us and protect us from the bogeyman... at least, that's what the current government would like us to be like, allegedly.

Some of us rebel by carrying two mobiles (take two mobiles out of the house? You might be a terrorist!) and taking photos of the Palace of Westminster or the DVLA wearing dodgy fake beards, but that's really not enough I suppose. It's not really rock and roll is it?

Or something. Needs (a lot) of work.
